As with normal tobacco products, there are a number of different E-Cigarette to choose from these days, with a range of taste filters able to cater to the exacting requirements of E-Cigarette smokers. In this article, we'll take a look at these variations - in particular the nicotine variety versus the no-nicotine variety, to see whether or not a real difference can be experienced.
Explanation of E-Cigarette Types
There are two main E-Cigarette types, including:
- Nicotine based E-Cigarettes.
- Nicotine-free E-Cigarettes.
Let's take a look at both of these to see which is more effective when it comes to using E-Cigarettes as a supplement and healthier substitute to tobacco based products.
Nicotine Based E-Cigarettes
With a nicotine based E-Cigarette, there is a certain amount of nicotine which is released in to the smoke through the filter of the device each time that a puff is taken. This means that whilst all of the chemicals are removed from the smoke (the E-Cigarette produces no harmful smoke substances) - there is still a degree of addictiveness to the product.
When it comes to nicotine based E-Cigarette, manufacturers promote them as having two main benefits:
- A healthier substitute for tobacco products.
- A more effective means of delivering nicotine to the system.
These are very interesting points. Indeed, the "healthier" claim is certainly true, as the E-Cigarette smoke does not contain the array of harmful toxins which are seen in tobacco products. However, as for the more effective means of delivering nicotine, we aren't entirely sure if this is the case.
Sure - the lungs don't have to process as much junk and chemical residue as before - but would anyone really change to E-Cigarettes simply to get the nicotine in to their system faster?
Nicotine-Free E-Cigarettes
The no nicotine E-Cigarettes are simply designed so that the look and feel of a cigarette is mimicked - and therefore the user "feels" like they are using a cigarette, whilst they are actually receiving no nicotine and no potent or dangerous substances during the session.
We believe that the nicotine free E-Cigarettes are far better for people who are mild smokers, and who do not crave a cigarette every so often. However, for those who have already developed a dependence on nicotine, the nicotine based E-Cigarette will probably be the only acceptable substitute to ensure the suppression of cravings.
